Simple Resonance Kit

Explore the concept of acoustic resonance with this easy-to-use kit. Students will use a tuning fork or a smartphone app to generate sound through a metal tube of variable length, which is closed at one end and open at the other. They will investigate which lengths of tube amplify sound, drawing connections to the frequency and speed of the sound in air.
