Safety Closed Electrolysis Apparatus S-PG
SKU: F35-1334-W0
Model: S-PG
Category: Chemistry / Electrolysis
Packaging: 1 unit
Short Description
The S-PG Safety Closed Electrolysis Apparatus is designed for safer classroom electrolysis experiments.
Its closed-container design helps reduce splashing and exposure to electrolyte solutions while allowing students to collect and compare the volumes of gases produced during electrolysis.
Product Description
The S-PG is a closed electrolysis apparatus developed for chemistry classrooms, teaching laboratories and STEM activities.
It requires only a small quantity of electrolyte solution, typically around 100 mL, helping reduce preparation time, chemical use and liquid waste.
Because the solution remains enclosed inside the apparatus, it can be reused over several days during a series of student experiments, reducing the need to replace the electrolyte after every class.
The two graduated gas-collection tubes make it easy to compare the volumes of gases produced at each electrode. This is especially useful when studying the electrolysis of water and the relationship between the volumes of hydrogen and oxygen generated.
The apparatus includes a pair of platinum-coated titanium electrodes, providing compatibility with several commonly used electrolyte solutions.
