Kidneys, 3 Times Size

The model shows the left kidney severed parasitically over three quarters of its length. The kidney shows in depth the renal artery and vein, part of the ureter, cortex, medulla, pyramids, pelvis, major and minor calyces, internal blood supply and drainage. The renal nephrons are detailed in contrasting colors with the distal and proximal convoluted tubules simplified for clarity. Several loops of Henle with numerous glomeruli are schematically detailed in relief on the kidney model. This kidney model is three times life size. The human kidney model is mounted on the base.
